Fortunately¸ you and your friends were chosen by what you assume are gods to save what's left of Earth¸ and now you have superhuman strength and a good amount of powers. You also have the biggest responsibility you've ever had. Good luck!

But then the world ended¸ and you got chosen by one of the entities to end the end of the world - and now you're stuck here¸ fighting against forces beyond your understanding. Feels bad¸ huh? Giving up is not an option¸ though. Even if you wanted to¸ you're the chosen one! Or one of them.
