We Who Remain" is a survival horror hack powered by Fate Condensed and set in a bleak¸ post-apocalyptic USA.
Survivors of a pandemic involving a parasitic fungus that made the leap from insects to humans either live in quarantine zones run by an oppressive military government¸ where living conditions are squalid at best¸ or they take their chances outside where the "infected” (shorthand for a person parasitized by the fungus) seem to lurk in every abandoned building¸ waiting to rip your throat out or worse¸ infect you¸ and brutal marauders lay traps for unsuspecting nomads simply trying to make their way through the ashes of civilization. It's a hard world where most people are lucky to make it through the day. Resources are scarce. People you can trust are scarcer.
