Fate Codex 1.4 The
The Fate Codex is a mostly-monthly e-zine featuring Quick Start Adventures and more for the Fate roleplaying system. The project¸ funded through Patreon ¸ grows and swells as more patrons support our work. We've been lucky to have lots of folks pledge.
We've also been lucky enough to feature some really great artists¸ including Claudia Cangini¸ Mike Mumah¸ and Juan Ochoa. There's some great work in this piece and over 10¸000 words of awesome Fate content¸ ready to be thrown into your next game of Fate.
Now we're bringing this content to you ¸ so you can find and download your issues easily.
In this fourth issue¸ we've got:
- Nick Bate's take on violence in Fate¸ Why Are We Always Fighting?¸ exploring how you could remove violence as a core conflict in Fate entirely.
- André La Roche's political campaign system¸ Campaign Season¸ supporting PCs pursuing massive¸ world-changing agendas over the course of play.
- Encoded Systems's new dice mechanic¸ Momentum Dice¸ helping to make conflicts more dynamic and adding in a new way to emphasize characters' coolest skills.
- J. Huston Todd's quick start adventure¸ The Pilots of EDEN¸ in which players take on the roles of pilots of massive Mech Suits¸ waging war against terrible Kaiju.
Huge thanks to our great production team--John Adamus¸ Amanda Valentine¸ Shelley Harlan¸ and Thomas Deeny--for making this issue possible despite the crushing wave of Gen Con 2014. We hope you enjoy it!
