Fate Codex 1.2 The
The Fate Codex is a mostly-monthly e-zine featuring Quick Start Adventures and more for the Fate roleplaying system. The project¸ funded through Patreon ¸ grows and swells as more patrons support our work. We've been lucky to have lots of folks pledge.
We've also been lucky enough to feature some really great artists¸ including our own Marissa Kelly¸ and Juan Ochoa. There's some great work in this piece and over 10¸000 words of awesome Fate content¸ ready to be thrown into your next game of Fate.
Now we're bringing this content to you ¸ so you can find and download your issues easily.
In this second issue¸ we've got:
- Ryan Macklin's take on Survival as a Skill¸ reshaping the Survival skill in Fate to make it more useful and functional¸ especially by making it fulfill the role of Notice.
- Phil Lewis's new system for handling Infiltration Missions¸ turning a break-in into a series of clear rules and systems for criminal exploits.
- Quinn Murphy's guide to adding Culture from the Outside In¸ providing guidelines for creating interesting¸ nuanced¸ and complicated cultures to your Fate games.
- Mark Diaz Truman's quick start adventure¸ Dark Star¸ in which you play fighter pilots out on the far end of space¸ defending the strange¸ alien Dark Star.
Huge thanks to our great production team--John Adamus¸ Amanda Valentine¸ Shelley Harlan¸ and Thomas Deeny--for keeping us on task for this issue and pushing this thing forward. We hope you enjoy it!
