Ephemeros storytelling games series as a whole is a game that tries to fuse Role Playing Games (RPG) elements with Board Games by having both role-playing and pieces on the table that are necessary mechanics for the game.

This book is meant to be played on a Crime Scene Investigation type of stories¸ which means that the main characters of this game are going to be specialists in scientific areas and they're all working for the police by trying to solve crimes.
In this kind of stories¸ there is not really a danger implied directly to the characters since they're only doing their jobs. The great catch of these scenarios is the fact that the investigators are always running against time and if they don't solve the problems in due time they might let the criminal escape¸ arrest the wrong person or even allow the criminal to commit more crimes¸ so have this in mind: You're always out of time!
