In this grim¸ low-fantasy setting¸ monstrous spider-like creatures have conquered the land.
Great city-states lie in ruins. Those that remain are ruled by eight-legged tyrants who turn humans against each other through fear and blasphemous magic. In the fields and forests¸ hordes of invaders hunt survivors to serve as either workers in the slave pits¸ or as food for the slave-masters.
In Empire of Venom & Silk ¸ players take on the roles of heroes sworn to oppose the spiders and defend what remains of civilization. As members of the resistance¸ it's up to them to fight the invaders in the streets¸ sabotage the creatures' mysterious projects¸ and protect innocent survivors from the ever-encroaching spider horde.
