It's For The Children (EK1)
Welcome to the Hollers in the Eastern Kingdoms. This is D&D at its darkest. This is a place where everyone does what they need to do to survive. Set within the Kingdom of Blood Eagle¸ in the town of Drover's Whip¸ the PCs must overcome prejudice¸ crime and racism in order to help those truly in need. But¸ as rank outsiders¸ will their help really be welcome? IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN is an adventure for first time players who are looking for an additional level of moral ambiguity and grit. Gruesome Grimlocks make up the villains¸ but even the party's allies are dangerous¸ after all who wants an Enchantress or criminals as allies? The Grimlock lair is filled with things of nightmares and will shake the players into fugue state of paranoia as they delve into the morbid claustrophobic realm of nightmarish evil. The adventure can be finished in one session (three to four hours with four players) and is the starting adventure for the Kingdom of Blood Eagle Campaign Setting. IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN is be followed by THE HARF ¸ and THE TOMB BELOW. The adventure is not for the lighthearted and requires multiple morally difficult decisions that will influence the characters later in the campaign. Make sure you as the DM know this and do not play this with individuals that would take offence to the hardships presented herein. It also touches on some topics that are also unpopular and socially pointed. Since the characters will be outsiders¸ how they deal with these situations will be a test of both their character and alignment.
