The Metaphysical ‐ The classic spell-caster¸ but with the Rusty DM spin. You have an ability to bend the laws of physics to your will¸ whether it be through traditional arcane and magical means¸ or the manipulation of the metaphysical itself. The Metaphysical is for those who want to play a powerful¸ but possibly volatile manipulator of reality itself. Though lacking in brawn¸ your brain is your most powerful asset. With the power of your mind¸ you can solve complex problems by creating solutions¸ rather than bashing through them like a barbarian. To give you an idea of where this class came from¸ the inspiration for The Metaphysical was Rincewind and the other wizards of Discworld¸ and any magic-user ever from games and media such as the Eldar Scrolls series and even World of Warcraft. One special thing about this playbook is that it comes with two versions: The Vancian version that casts spells from a Spellbook full of spells picked from a list. The Vancian version tends to be the easier version of the class for new players due to having a set list of spells. The Creative version uses spells made up by the player¸ allowing for more creativity. Be careful¸ though¸ when manipulating the fabric of reality; the bigger the ask¸ the bigger the possible consequences of messing with such forces.
