In the beginning¸ the dragons of heaven and earth fought a great war. In they end¸ they both died. The words of their dying breaths became the gods¸ and their scales became the folk of the world. The dragon of land's corpse became the world¸ and its blood the oceans. For centuries the folk and the gods lived in relative peace. But the dungeons soon opened. These parasites are living¸ chambered beings with raw magic focused into great pearls. Adventurers are now tunneling into them¸ disrupting monster breeding grounds¸ seeking new sources of magic...
Dragon's Grave is dark fantasy on an epic scale: two iconic dragons fought until they perished¸ and from their bones and viscera¸ living dungeons have formed. These terrifying catacombs can swallow entire cities¸ and spawn monsters that constantly mutate¸ threatening everyone!
The gods walk the land as juggernauts formed by the dragons' death¸ and the many folk of the world are descended from them in a similar way. The player characters wield epic power. They are driven by two tropes that combine ancestry¸ class¸ background¸ magical power¸ and other wide-ranging traits. Their abilities are the purview of high-level characters in standard fantasy roleplaying games: they are immensely powerful¸ facing off against the minions of gods¸ the gods themselves¸ or worse yet¸ dangers spawned from the corpses of dragons.
