A strange discovery in the woods. An unexplained murder. A mysterious small town. Or an inexplicable signal from outer space. Demise is a roleplaying game in which characters investigate gruesome and inexplicable cases¸ but the supernatural horrors that lurk behind the false front of reality draw them closer and closer towards the terrible truth. The straightforward and narration-focussed Demise game system allows players to personally shape the terrible consequences their characters have to face. Instead of rolling the dice to see whether their actions are successful¸ the dice rolls instead just tell them whether they move closer yet toward their own demise - or whether they managed to evade their ultimate fate for another moment. In Demise¸ you become the architects of your own demise.
