A mysterious and rare kith¸ the Selkies are only found along the coasts and near big water. Dependent on the sea¸ they can somehow draw Glamour from it. They are equally dependent on their coats; which are necessary for a Selkie to experience Chrysalis. But from these coats they gain all manner of powers¸ including the ability to shift into seal form.
Odd¸ to be sure. Even for the changelings.
But what if the Selkies weren't actually changelings? Not to start with¸ at least. What if¸ back in the mists of ancient time¸ Gaia created the sealfolk as her ambassadors? Fleeing the War of Rage¸ Fera became fae¸ and act out of a heritage they now only grasp at.
This book posits an alternate interpretation of the Selkies¸ in which the kith must straddle several different worlds to find their true place.
