The Harryhausen -class Free Trader is a small cargo vessel intended for independent mercantile operations¸ designed as a "starter" ship; a crew's first starship purchase. Harryhausen s have since proven to be popular also with experienced crews and small merchant companies; especially within sector mains¸ where the ship's cargo-to-income ratio makes plying a regular route worthwhile. Even so¸ its jump-2 drive enables it to seek opportunities away from the mains if necessary. Harryhausen- class Free Trader is intended for 2D6 games such as Cepheus Engine and the Original Science-Fiction Roleplaying Game (OSFRPG)¸ although it could be used in any science-fiction milieu with a few modifications.
