and now only the Burning Lands remain
The Fae and humans went to war¸ they caused the Godfall and the faltering of magic¸ the planet was left burnt and scarred¸ then the last of the Elven High Kings was slain and an uneasy peace imposed by the new rulers of the planet¸ mankind.
The world now deals with the fallout from years of destruction¸ xenophobia¸ resource wars¸ the loss of True Magic and the lack of actual Gods. It is a brutal existence and in this new harsh reality¸ Tyrants are now the norm.
There is only one saying that all agree on across the Burning Lands;
"Eat well or be food"

The Burning Lands is a system agnostic setting book¸ it is a grim post apocalyptic fantasy world where survival itself is a challenge. The Gods and True Magic are cut off and most magic wielders are now Blood Magic Sorcerers; who destroy life itself to fuel their desire for power and to provide the energy for their arcane spell like castings.
This book details the setting and focuses on a large area around the City State of Malvec
