Broken Contract Miniature Adventure Game
Broken Contract is a game of worker insurrection in a dystopian future. Most of humanity are contracted laborers indentured to massive corporations. Those who try to throw off the shackles of oppression are termed¸ Breakers¸ for breaking their contracts. This book focuses primarily on the game's mechanics¸ but gives a little insight into the core struggle between the laborers trapped within the mines owned by the FerrumSky Corporation¸ and the contracted security force that maintains quotas and order¸ Black Squadron Security. The unique mechanics you want to know about: - Broken Contract is a micro-skirmish game where the usual engagement is 3-5 models per side. - An Initiative Deck is shuffled and the cards are dealt to each Character¸ making for a variable activation sequence that changes every turn. - Action Points are used for both Actions and Interruptions¸ creating hard choices. Do you blow through all of a character's Actions¸ or hold Action Points back to perform Interruptions later in the turn sequence? - Broken Contract takes emphasis away from simply moving and fighting with thematic action movie options like escaping restraints or yelling¸ "Stand Down!".
