The Shield of Wonder¸ a magical item¸ is a creator of chaos. Don't get me wrong¸ it's a nice-looking shield. It just... causes... well¸ a little mayhem. Okay¸ a lot. Fine¸ let's be honest¸ it's terrifying. The Shield can do a lot of scary¸ weird and wonderful things. You just never know which thing you're going to get. Or¸ if you're the one carrying it¸ what all the things are that it MIGHT do.

This thing is a GM's gleeful toy. 100-foot rope of fire? Check. Random dragon vengeance? Check. Body swap? Stat changes? Instant death in horrible ways? Check. Hey now¸ I didn't say for whom. You might be okay.
