The Pannikin Requiem (BRP)
Hobos are missing.
But does anyone really care?
Rumor has it several hobos from across the state of New York have simply dropped out of sight: disappeared. It's not an uncommon occurrence¸ though usually some word comes back about the missing eventually. Not so in this case. They're gone and no one is sure where or why.
The police won't help. The politicians don't care. Regular folks can't be bothered. After all¸ they're just hobos¸ right? If nobody does anything¸ does it really make a difference?
It certainly does to someone. It's up to a small group of investigators to find out if something is going on and possibly put a stop to it. Where are the missing? What's happened to them? How can they be helped?
The Pannikin Requiem is a standalone game for Call of Cthulhu set in August 1929¸ just before the Stock Market Crash. The Roaring Twenties are coming to an end¸ but for people who already have little or nothing¸ it doesn't make much difference. The scenario is made to be played with players' own characters and can be dropped into a campaign with relative ease.
The Pannikin Requiem includes:
- A 24-page fully-illustrated semi-sandbox scenario set in the Catskills of New York State with information on local towns¸ villages¸ railroads¸ and other locations in the area.
- Three pages of non-player characters.
- Maps of the county and one of the local towns.
- A dozen handouts.
- NPC portraits and other illustrations to share with the players.
- Four complete characters to use as backup investigators or pregenerated characters.
- An illustrated list of hobo signs.
