This information will supplement what appears in the handbooks in order to help you play a more three-dimensional actor. This guide focuses on Gaslight (19th century) and Classic (1920s) periods¸ and suggests three period-appropriate tracks for actors: Legitimate stage¸ Vaudeville/music hall¸ and film. Includes all sorts of helpful hints on background¸ career paths¸ punlic perceptions of the profession¸ contacts¸ quotes and terminology¸ brief profiles of a few different historical actors¸ optional skills (in addition to what appears in the handbooks) and equipment with prices.
