Ruby Eagle¸ known to her close friends as Ruby Flare¸ was an international hero¸ a diminutive but fierce hummingbird of the Atlantean War Eagle Clan. Due to injury she was forced to retire leaving a power vacuum amongst the clans of Atlantis. Ruby hopes her daughter¸ Anna¸ will take up the leadership of the Atlantean council of five hundred families. When Anna is challenged to a duel to decide her fate Ruby must struggle to help her daughter survive a fight to the death. A tale of power and hope that will determine the future of a legendary and ancient kingdom.
