Perilous Almanacs (PBtA)
A collection of six "almanacs"for Dungeon World ¸ written using the guidelines set down in The Perilous Wilds ¸ and adapted in unique ways by each of the six contributors. This book is meant to be used in play when a quick wildrness adventure setting is desired¸ and as a set of examples of the different ways in which one might go about writing a regional almanac.
The regions included are:
- Kirotoki Marsh by Donna Almendrala¸ wherein the eerie Black Stump awaits travelers lost in the mist
- The Ancient Alvar by Rachel Kahn¸ an expanse of limestone flats scoured by chaotic gales
- The Paths of Atekazé by Jeremy Strandberg¸ a subterranean realm ruled by cultists of the Fire Worm
- Three Faces by Michael Prescott¸ a trio of mountainous peaks shrouded in mystery
- Ahmaradis¸ the Pale Dunes by Joseph Vandel¸ a blinding desert presided over by a sect of holy warriors
- Vannrik¸ the Lake Kingdom by Sophie Yanow¸ where the local music scene drives sentient sea life to distraction
